Mississauga, ON – September 11, 2023 – Canada’s leading biopharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement consultancy, PDCI Market Access (PDCI), a division of McKesson Canada, today announced the appointment of three leaders, Nabil Tadros, Andrea Lau and John-Paul Dowson to further enhance the company’s capabilities in delivering high-quality services and strategic consulting insights, while investing in the growth of its real-world evidence (RWE) service offerings.

Nabil Tadros to Lead PDCI’s New RWE Pillar

PDCI’s Nabil Tadros will lead the newly established RWE Pillar as Director of RWE. As a licensed pharmacist, Nabil has been with McKesson Canada for more than 25 years, amassing great expertise in his role as a clinical evidence and market access consultant. Having spent the earlier days of his career with Phase 4 Health and McKesson Canada specializing in the design and execution of phase IV clinical studies, Nabil is strongly positioned to lead this initiative and effectively support biopharmaceutical manufacturers to optimize RWE for their commercial and market access success.

Andrea Lau Becomes the New Leader of PDCI’s Health Technology Assessment (HTA) & Clinical Evaluation Pillar

PDCI is very proud to announce the promotion of Andrea Lau to Director, HTA and Clinical Evaluation. In this new role, Andrea will now be responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the clinical team and will join the PDCI leadership team in driving key PDCI business priorities. Prior to joining PDCI in 2016, Andrea Lau was a clinical reviewer at the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH). Andrea has demonstrated her pragmatic leadership and collaborative approach while sharing her vast insights on clinical evidence evaluation for the purposes of HTA. Most recently, Andrea led the strategic execution of PDCI’s Summary of Clinical Evidence (SCE) service offering in response to changing CADTH requirements. 

John-Paul Dowson Now Leads PDCI’s Strategic Consulting Pillar

As Director, Strategic Consulting John-Paul will bring together Data, Policy, Market Access and Pricing functions under one pillar to provide a broader alignment on the market, regulatory, and policy challenges manufacturers are facing as they prepare to launch. Driven by PDCI’s diverse expertise and strong data insights, bringing these capabilities together will also help better identify solutions and opportunities for entering the Canadian market. Associate Directors Courtney Abunassar, (Market Access & Policy Research), Dylan Lamb-Palmer (Pricing & Data Analytics) and Paul Henricks (Data Innovation & Insights) will support John-Paul’s leadership, in acknowledgement of their skillsets and subject matter expertise.
