Ontario has released a summary, titled Minister’s Roundtable on Pan-Canadian Pharmacare, based on a roundtable discussion on pharmacare hosted by the Honourable Dr. Eric Hoskins, Ontario’s Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, on June 8, 2015. This summary, prepared by Health Quality Ontario, provides an overview of the discussion which included provincial and territorial health ministers, academics and other pharmacare experts. It identified areas where there was broad consensus among the participants as well as areas for further exploration where there was not broad consensus.

Following the release of this summary, Ontario will further engage with patients and other stakeholders to continue discussions about a national pharmacare program.
