Julia Shen is an Associate of Policy & Health Economic Research at PDCI. Julia is part of the Health Economics team and her role focuses directly on supporting PDCI’s expertise in developing pharmacoeconomic submission components. Julia also provides strategic assistance on market access assessments, policy research, data analytics, and external engagement with clients. At PDCI, Julia is actively involved in the Policy team and has both supported and developed work in pricing policy, assessment of access barriers for medications, and national pharmacare.
Julia brings experience working in the pharmaceutical industry through her University program, where she has supported cross-functional market access projects working with medical affairs, reimbursement, and marketing teams in the disease areas of respiratory, immunology, multiple sclerosis, rare disease & oncology. Julia has also written a research paper on the need for Rare Disease Policies in Canada, and brings a keen interest in supporting client strategies in this area.
Julia has completed a Masters of Science in Sustainability Management (MScSM) at the University of Toronto and has a Bachelor of Science (Specialization in Biochemistry) from Queen’s University.
