PMPRB 36 Month Exchange Rates
The PMPRB conducts international price comparisons for new and existing patented medicines. To convert foreign prices to Canadian dollars, the Board uses the average of 36 month exchange rates published by the Bank of Canada.

PMPRB 36 Month Exchange Rates for New Patented Medicines by Month / Year of Introduction (Date of First Sale)
The PMPRB conducts international price comparisons for new and existing patented medicines. To convert foreign prices to Canadian dollars for new medicines, the Board uses the simple average of the 36 monthly noon spot exchange rates published by the Bank of Canada taken to eight decimal places for the 36 months ending four months before the date of the first sale of the medicine. The average exchange rates in the following table reflect the PMPRB methodology.
