Courtney Abunassar is an Associate Director, Market Access and Policy Research at PDCI. As a member of PDCI’s Reimbursement Strategy Team, Courtney contributes to the development and implementation of public and private market access strategies that successfully optimize pricing and reimbursement. Her role includes performing strategic market access assessments, leading payer advisory board, payer research and policy analysis projects, managing reimbursement submissions and contributing to the development of all their core components. In addition, Courtney conducts research and writes policy reports concerning a broad range of policy topics of interest to the pharmaceutical industry in Canada, as well as provides research and writing support in the preparation of expert reports for patent litigation cases.
Prior to joining PDCI in 2011, Courtney worked in strategic policy analysis and communications positions with the federal government and not-for-profit health organizations.
Courtney holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a specialization in health policy, both from Carleton University in Ottawa. She has also attained a Certificate in Population Health Risk Assessment and Management from the University of Ottawa.
